UPGRADING TECHNOLOGY FOR a SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

ASEAN is now not only to be a dynamically developing region with a huge demand in cement, but also has a developed cement industry. ASEAN cement suffers a severe competition with other countries and regions on the world. To produce more cement has to become a duty of ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufactures (AFCM). Simultaneously, the cement industry must innovate technology, minimize environmental pollution, enhance labor productivity, reduce energy consumption and production cost, labor, as well as enhance competitiveness. Therefore, the Technical Symposium periodically was held once every two years before and now once every 3 years on rotation basis in AFCM member countries.

Since 1979 when it was first implemented, a total of 23 symposia have been held. It is now a well-established ASEAN event attracting participation of cement manufactures, machinery suppliers and process technology experts from the region and in the world. The Symposium truly becomes a traditional event bringing tremendous effects into developing and upgrading technology.

On behalf of the ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufactures, Vietnam will host the 24th AFCM Technology Symposium & Exhibition in 21-24 April, 2015 at Marriot Hanoi Hotel with the theme “Upgrading technology for a Sustainable Development”

    • AFCM Members (delegate): 250USD

    • Non- AFCM Member (delegate): 600USD

FIRST CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

For those intending to present papers, previously not published, are requested to submit the title (not more than 15 words) and the abstract of each paper (between 300- 400 words) before 30th August 2014. Selection of papers will initially be based on the abstracts. The successful authors will be notified by 15th October 2014 and will be invited to submit the full text by 15th November 2014. The text (manuscript and illustrations) should closely adhere to international publication standards.

Any correspondence on submission of the paper should be addressed directly to the Symposium Secretariat at the address given at the end of this announcement.

The official language of the Symposium is English with no translation facilities.

    • Improving productivity
    • Energy and fuel saving
    • Diversification of fuel resources & materials
    • Maintenance strategies for higher efficiency

EXHIBITION BOOTH, MAGAZINE KIOSK AND HOSPITALITY SUITE

An exhibition of approximately 47 booths and 3 magazine kiosks will be held in conjunction with the Symposium.
