The scope of activities of VICEM
Based on article 4 chapter 1 in Decision No. 193/2006/QD-TTg on 13th Dec. 2007 by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, targets and main business line of VICEM include:
1. Targets:
- Doing business, keeping in whole and grow ownership's capital; fulfill tasks assigned by the owner including rate of profit over ownership's capital, maximize efficiency of operation of Mother company and daughter companies as well.
- Developing cement industry, relating business lines serving for cement industry and other industries sustainable, meeting the needs of construction, fulfilling missions assigned by the Government.
2. Business line: VICEM is responsible for production, trading and investment based on the master plan, needs of the market economy and policies of the Government including activities in the major following business lines:
a. Cement industry:
- Operation of existing cement plants, exploration, investment in cement green-field plants, grinding terminals with advanced technology in order to meet requirements of environment protection.
- Exploitation of raw materials and additives for production and sales of cement and cement bags
b. Mechanical Industry: Steel lamination, Casting; fabrication of mechanical products, equipment; reparation, erection equipment and production line for cement, building materials and other industries.
c. Ores Mining and building materials: Exploitation, production, process of aggregate and industrial ores; production and sales of building material products.
d. Construction, management, operation of sea, river ports, road, railway, waterborne transportation and cargo loading and unloading.
e. Real estate: Investment in infrastructure, industrial and urban zones, real estate, premises, stock yards, office for rent.
h. Miscellaneous: Other businesses compliant with the law.
g. Other services: Investment Consulting, development and research of technology, iT, training, insurance, financing, banking, import-export business, treatment, rehabilitation of occupational disease, tourism, business in Hotel, Restaurant and other public services
f. Industrial and civil construction; generation and sales of power; forestation, exploitation, rubber processing
